2. Membership Enrollment Process

Our enrollment process is designed to help prospective members find the membership that best suits their interests and needs. The process includes:
  1. Choose a Membership Plan: Review the available plans and select your preferred option.
  2. Submit a Membership Request: Complete the membership inquiry form on our website.
  3. Complimentary Welcome Conversation: Discuss your interests, preferences, expectations, and service requirements.
  4. Membership Approval: We review your request and confirm whether our services are an appropriate fit.
  5. Payment: Complete the required payment after the Welcome Conversation and membership approval.
  6. Membership Activation: Your membership becomes active after the required documentation and payment are completed.
Submitting a request does not automatically guarantee membership approval or availability.

3. Eligibility and Membership Approval

Golden Gatherings SRQ is designed primarily for independent older adults, generally age 60 and above. Membership approval is subject to a Welcome Conversation, service availability, compatibility with our non-medical service model, and completion of any required documentation. Our services are intended for individuals whose needs can be accommodated within a non-medical companionship setting. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue a membership when the services requested fall outside our scope or cannot reasonably be provided safely and appropriately.

4. Monthly Membership Fees and Payments

Membership fees are billed monthly according to the selected membership plan. The current monthly rates are:
  • Sunshine: $399 per month.
  • Golden: $699 per month.
  • Platinum: $999 per month.
Payment is due only after the complimentary Welcome Conversation and membership approval. Payments may be made through our designated online payment provider, such as Stripe, or through another payment method expressly arranged with Golden Gatherings. Members are responsible for maintaining accurate billing information and ensuring that payments are completed when due. Any applicable additional expenses, including activity tickets, meals, admissions, or purchases not included in the membership, will be communicated where reasonably practicable and must be agreed upon before the expense is incurred.

5. Automatic Renewal

Memberships are structured as recurring monthly subscriptions and automatically renew each month unless cancelled in accordance with the applicable cancellation policy. By enrolling in recurring billing, you authorize the designated payment provider to charge your selected payment method for the applicable membership fee. Members should review their billing information and renewal terms before completing enrollment. Cancellation requests must be submitted using the method communicated during enrollment or specified in the membership agreement. The effective cancellation date and any applicable notice requirements will be confirmed in accordance with the disclosed terms and applicable law.

6. Scheduling and Using Gatherings

Members may schedule Gatherings by coordinating with Golden Gatherings SRQ. To help us provide a smooth and enjoyable experience:
  • Advance scheduling is encouraged.
  • Dates and times are subject to availability and confirmation.
  • Gathering plans may be adjusted to accommodate weather, venue availability, member preferences, and other practical considerations.
  • Each Gathering is planned for up to three hours.
  • Members should communicate changes to their preferences or availability as early as possible.
Memberships provide access to a specified number of Gatherings each month. They do not guarantee a specific activity, venue, event, or requested appointment time.

7. Unused Gatherings

Unused Gatherings do not automatically roll over to the following billing month unless Golden Gatherings confirms a different arrangement in writing.

8. Cancellations and Rescheduling

We understand that schedules and circumstances can change. Members should notify Golden Gatherings SRQ as early as possible if they need to cancel or reschedule a planned Gathering. The applicable membership agreement will specify any required notice period and the treatment of late cancellations, missed Gatherings, and rescheduling requests. If Golden Gatherings must cancel or reschedule a Gathering because of weather, staff availability, venue changes, or safety concerns, we will communicate the available alternatives. Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may affect future scheduling availability, subject to the applicable membership agreement.

9. Membership Cancellation

Members may cancel their recurring monthly membership by submitting a written cancellation request by email to goldengatherings1@gmail.com. Cancellation timing and any applicable notice period will be stated clearly during enrollment.

10. Refund Policy

Membership payments and refund requests are handled in accordance with the membership agreement and applicable law. Unless otherwise required by law or expressly agreed in writing:
  • Membership fees are not automatically refundable for unused Gatherings.
  • Unused Gatherings are not automatically exchanged for cash.
  • Refund eligibility may depend on the circumstances of the request and the services already provided.
  • Duplicate payments or verified billing errors will be reviewed and corrected where appropriate.
  • If Golden Gatherings cannot provide an agreed service, we will communicate the appropriate remedy in accordance with the applicable agreement and law.
Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

11. Transportation Policy

Transportation within our designated service area is included with Golden Gatherings memberships, subject to scheduling, availability, and agreed arrangements. Members should confirm pickup and drop-off details before each planned outing. Transportation outside our normal service area may be unavailable or may involve an additional charge agreed upon in advance. Our transportation arrangements support participation in social activities. They do not constitute medical transportation, ambulance services, or emergency transportation. Members must communicate relevant mobility or practical requirements before an outing so we can determine whether the planned arrangements are appropriate.

12. Additional Expenses and Activities

Membership fees cover the services described for the selected plan. Unless expressly stated otherwise, members are responsible for personal expenses such as:
  • Meals and refreshments.
  • Event tickets and admission fees.
  • Shopping and personal purchases.
  • Optional activities or experiences carrying additional charges.
Any additional costs arranged by Golden Gatherings on a member’s behalf should be disclosed and approved in advance. Participation in special events or activities may depend on venue availability, advance reservations, and other applicable conditions.

13. Guest and Group Participation Policy

Golden Gatherings emphasizes small-group experiences that encourage genuine conversation, friendship, and social connection. Guests may participate only when approved in advance and where the activity, venue, and arrangements permit. Additional guests may be subject to availability and additional costs. Members should not assume that a guest’s participation is included in their monthly membership. We aim to create a welcoming environment in which members respect one another’s comfort, privacy, preferences, and personal boundaries.

14. Non-Medical Service Policy

Golden Gatherings SRQ provides non-medical social companionship and does not provide medical care, nursing, personal care, medication management, continuous supervision, or emergency services. Our services are not a substitute for healthcare professionals, home health services, personal care providers, assisted living, or other specialized support. Members or their families are responsible for arranging any additional care or supervision required outside our service scope. If a member’s needs change and can no longer be accommodated within our non-medical service model, we may discuss alternative arrangements or discontinue the affected service in accordance with the membership agreement and applicable law.

15. Member Conduct and Responsibilities

We ask all members to help maintain a respectful, friendly, and comfortable environment. Members are expected to:
  • Treat staff, fellow members, and service providers respectfully.
  • Provide accurate contact and scheduling information.
  • Communicate relevant preferences and practical requirements.
  • Follow agreed scheduling and cancellation procedures.
  • Respect other members’ privacy and personal boundaries.
  • Follow reasonable safety instructions during Gatherings and outings.
  • Pay applicable membership fees and approved additional expenses on time.
Harassment, abusive conduct, threats, or behavior that creates an unreasonable safety concern may result in the suspension or termination of membership, subject to the applicable agreement and law.

16. Weather, Emergencies, and Unforeseen Circumstances

Certain circumstances, including severe weather, public safety concerns, illness, venue closures, or other unforeseen events, may affect planned Gatherings. When reasonably possible, Golden Gatherings will notify affected members and discuss rescheduling or other appropriate arrangements. The safety and well-being of members and staff will be considered when deciding whether an activity should proceed, change, or be postponed.

17. Privacy and Confidentiality

We respect the privacy of our members and prospective members. Personal information collected during inquiries, enrollment, billing, and service coordination will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Members are also expected to respect the privacy of other participants and refrain from sharing personal information, photographs, or private conversations without appropriate permission.

18. Changes to Membership Plans and Policies

Golden Gatherings SRQ may update membership offerings, scheduling procedures, or policies as our services evolve. Material changes affecting existing memberships will be communicated in accordance with the applicable membership agreement and legal requirements. The terms applicable to an existing member will be determined by their membership agreement and any validly communicated updates.

19. Suspension or Termination of Membership

Golden Gatherings SRQ may suspend or terminate a membership where reasonably necessary because of material policy violations, nonpayment, repeated disruptive conduct, safety concerns, or an inability to provide the agreed services. Where appropriate, we will communicate the reason and any available steps to resolve the issue. Outstanding payments, cancellation rights, and refund eligibility will be handled in accordance with the membership agreement and applicable law.
